Where the current
site is losing.

Most independent care homes come to us with a site that is either an early-2010s template that has not been touched in years, a single page with a phone number, or nothing at all. Families researching care for a parent land on it first, and a tired site quietly undersells a home that is actually warm and well run. The decision-maker is usually the owner or registered manager of a single home or a small group.

We see the same patterns over and over:

  • The site looks dated next to the bigger chains, even when the care is better
  • No clear way for a family to see fees, room types, or how to arrange a visit
  • Text is small and low-contrast, so older relatives struggle to read it on a phone
  • Enquiry form goes to an inbox nobody checks, or there is no form at all
Fol. III·The 5 pages
Structure · Fol. IIIFig. 3.01
  1. Page 01Home
Who you care for, where you are, your ethos in a sentence, and a clear way to arrange a visit, above the fold.
  2. Page 02About / our home
The home's story, the team, the feel of the place. Real photos of the building and the people, not stock imagery.
  3. Page 03The care we provide
Residential, dementia, respite, end-of-life, whichever you actually offer. Described plainly so families understand the fit.
  4. Page 04Careers
A standing page for recruitment. Good staff are as hard to win as residents, and a credible careers page helps.
  5. Page 05Contact / arrange a visit
A short, accessible enquiry form plus phone and address. Routes to the inbox you actually check.

The 5-page structure is the standard plan. If your business needs a 6th or 7th page for a specific service, we’ll quote it separately and add it to the build, with a fixed number agreed before signing.

Fol. IV·Example briefs
Brief 01Fig. 4.01

Single residential home, owner-managed

A 24-bed home, Good rating, owner is also the registered manager. Wants a site that reassures families and lifts enquiries away from the local-authority list. Currently a one-page placeholder.

Brief 02Fig. 4.02

Small group with a dementia specialism

Three homes under one owner, strong on dementia care. Wants the site to lead with that specialism rather than reading like a generic care list, and to handle enquiries per home.

Brief 03Fig. 4.03

Home rebuilding after a quiet spell

Occupancy has dipped and word-of-mouth is not filling beds fast enough. Needs a credible, accessible website to be the front door while it rebuilds reputation locally.

Fol. V·Common questions
Common questions

Asked by care homes.

Will the site be accessible for older relatives?
Yes, that is a priority for care homes specifically. We build to WCAG-friendly standards (proper contrast, large readable type, keyboard navigation, real-device tested) because the people choosing your home are often older relatives on phones or with reduced vision. Accessibility is part of the standard build, not an add-on.
Can the site show fees and room availability?
It can carry whatever you are comfortable publishing: fee ranges, room types, what is included. Live availability that updates itself is dynamic functionality beyond the static 5-page scope, and we would quote that separately. Most homes do well with a clear enquiry route and a callback within hours.
Do you build the care-records or eMAR system too?
No. We build the public website only. We do not build or sell a care-records system or an eMAR, and the website holds no care data. If you want to make the systems you already run inspection-ready, that is separate operations work, and we are happy to talk about it once the website is sorted.
Will it help us recruit as well as fill beds?
Yes. The careers page is one of the five as standard, because staffing is usually as pressing as occupancy. We set it up so you can keep current vacancies visible and route applications to the right inbox. Ongoing recruitment marketing is a specialist's job, not ours, and we will say so honestly.

A real website,
for care homes.

Tell us about your service and we’ll get back to you the same day. A clean website is a sensible first step, and it often leads to the inspection-ready work once it’s sorted. We’ll tell you honestly if the plan is the right fit, and steer you somewhere better if it isn’t. Prefer to talk? Ring us on 07754 218 688 any weekday.
