The people behind the pink.

Orchestrix is a digital transformation consultancy for small UK businesses, run by engineer Alex Sais in Nottingham. We build websites, automation, custom software, and data tools. One fixed price, agreed before we start. Built in weeks.

Who we are

Run by a person, not a pitch deck.

Orchestrix is run by Alex Sais: a British-born engineer who spent a decade untangling broken operations, lived in France from 2014, works in English and French, and is now based in Nottingham. When we say “we”, that’s the honest shape of it: one operator at the core, with trusted collaborators pulled in when a build needs specialist hands. No invented headcount, no account manager between you and the work. The person you talk to scopes the job, builds it, and answers the phone afterwards.

The decade covered the full size range: small professional practices, regional firms, and a global manufacturer running twelve factories across five countries. Licence consolidation, infrastructure rebuilds, custom software, workflow automation, full IT budget ownership. It’s always the same job underneath: watch what the team actually does, find where the hours leak, build the exact thing that stops it.

Earlier career: part of the core team that scaled a fast-growing UK operation from 11 HQ staff to 60, plus more than 800 field staff, through to a private equity exit in 2020. Started as a compliance officer, ended up leading recruitment and operations. That’s where the respect for people doing real work under pressure comes from: years of being on the team whose work was being “optimised” by people who clearly hadn’t watched it being done.

How we work

Four rules, never broken.

Saying what we won’t do matters as much as saying what we will. These are the rules that make the rest believable.

01Rule

A fixed number before we start

The website plan is the one price we publish: £0 up front, £50 a month. Everything else gets a fixed quote in writing before any work begins. No hourly billing, no “we billed 83 hours this month” invoices, no surprise extras because the project ran over.

02Rule

Built in weeks, not quarters

Most of what we build ships in two to twelve weeks, and the timeline is agreed alongside the price. No multi-year programmes, no phase-two roadmaps, no discovery workshops that never end. We scope it, we build it, it goes live.

03Rule

You own everything

The code, the domain, the data, the documentation: all yours on delivery, in plain English, with no licence fees and no lock-in. If your own developer or another firm wants to take it over later, they can. We build things to be owned, not to keep a meter running.

04Rule

An honest no

Roughly half of first chats end with “we’re not the right shop for this, but here’s who is”. That’s a feature. We’d rather send you somewhere better than sell you something that doesn’t fit, because the work that does fit is what keeps this business going.

The track record

Real numbers, real work.

Every number below is real. The client names stay off the page unless we have explicit permission to use them, because clients aren’t marketing material. These prove the method works at enterprise scale; the same method, sized down, is what we bring to a small business.

£2M+
found for an aerospace group
Vendor and licence consolidation across the estate
£481,855
saved in one licence renegotiation
Seven vendors consolidated down to two
14 hrs
a week back, per worker
UK recruitment operation, systems joined up
85%
cut from network costs
Manufacturer running sites in five countries

Recent work includes a CQC-grade staff-onboarding automation built for a care client: dozens of document checks that used to live in a spreadsheet, now chased and tracked automatically. Different sector, same job: take the manual work off the humans. More detail in the case studies.

The name on the tin

Digital transformation, minus the theatre.

“Digital transformation” is the industry’s label for the work we do: taking the manual, copy-paste, sticky-tape parts of a business and replacing them with systems that run themselves. We keep the label because it’s the honest category. We drop everything the label usually drags in with it: the roadmaps, the workshops, the 40-slide decks, the retainer that never ends.

You describe the problem, we quote a fixed number, we build the fix, it goes live in weeks, and you own it outright. If it needs looking after, there’s optional light hosting and support. If it doesn’t, we shake hands and you get on with your business.

And to be clear about what we’re not: we don’t do IT support, cyber security, or marketing and SEO retainers. If your printers are on fire, you need an IT support firm, and we’ll happily point you at a good one. What we build is the stuff that takes work off your team: websites, automation, custom software, and data tools.

What’s slowing you down?

Tell us, and we’ll say straight whether we can fix it. Costs nothing to chat, and half the time the honest answer is “not us, but here’s who”.
