Methodology · Fol. I · How we work

Start with one job.
We become your digital partner.

one concrete job · then the whole digital side · fixed fees throughout

Most people come to us with one concrete thing: a new website, an automation that’s overdue, a tech decision they don’t want to get wrong. We do that job well, you see how we work, and from there we become the partner you call for the rest of the digital side. No decks, no jargon, no ‘strategy phase’. We watch how your team actually works, then build the exact fix. Every piece of work has its own fixed-fee agreement, with the number agreed before any work starts. The free chat is the way in, and the paid audit is optional, not a gate.

One job.

Start with the thing that's bugging you

A free 15-minute chat · costs nothing

Everyone starts with one concrete thing: a new website, an automation that's overdue, a fix, a tech decision you don't want to get wrong. A chat, not a sales call: you describe it, we give an honest read on whether we're the right fit and what the sensible next step is. Ring us on 07754 218 688 or book a slot from the calendar on /contact.

  • Describe the one thing that's bugging you
  • Honest fit assessment
  • A clear next step (often a small fixed-fee job)
  • Or a polite 'not us, here's who to talk to'

We watch, then build.

How we scope the work

A discovery call, or a paid audit for bigger work

Before we write a line of anything, we look at how the team actually works, not how someone thinks it works. For a website or a small job, a discovery call is enough. For bigger operational work, we recommend a paid audit: we sit with the team, watch the work get done, inventory the tools, and write a prioritised punch list with a fixed-cost proposal per item. Either way you get a fixed scope and a fixed fee before anything is built.

  • Watch how the work actually gets done
  • Tool & integration inventory (for larger jobs)
  • Fixed scope and fixed fee, agreed before we start
  • Optional written audit document (within 5 working days)

We ship it.

Fixed-fee, fixed-scope build

Weeks, not months · fixed scope, fixed price

We build the thing we agreed, against the scope the discovery or audit produced. Fixed-fee, fixed-timeline, all agreed before we start. Custom websites, automations, internal tools, dashboards, the IT setup, whatever the job needs. You get plain-English documentation, a walkthrough, and the source handed over on delivery. If we did a paid audit, that fee credits in full against the build.

  • Built against what we observed, not a template
  • Weekly written progress notes
  • 30-day bug-fix window included
  • Documentation your team can actually read
  • You own the output, no lock-in

Your digital partner.

Who you call for the rest

Ongoing, scoped and agreed up front

Once we've done one job well and know your setup, we become the natural call for the rest of the digital side. We keep what we built running on UK infrastructure, patched, monitored, backed up, and we pick up new work as it comes: a website edit, the next automation, an IT question, a bit of advice before you spend money. One number for the whole digital side, someone who already knows how it all fits together.

  • Hosting, monitoring, backups on UK infrastructure
  • New work scoped and agreed up front as it comes
  • One partner who knows your whole setup
  • No finger-pointing between vendors
  • Grows at your pace, never a forced bundle

Fol. IV·Questions
Asked often

Questions we get often.

Do I have to commit to everything up front?
No. Most people start with one concrete thing: a new website, an automation that's overdue, a tech decision they don't want to get wrong. We do that one job well, you see how we work, and from there we become the partner you call for the rest of the digital side. There's no big bundled contract and no obligation to grow it beyond the first job. The relationship earns its way one piece at a time.
Is the paid audit compulsory?
No. The free chat is where we work out the right next thing, and for a lot of jobs that's just a small fixed-fee build, a website, or a quick bit of advice. The paid operational audit is one option, and we recommend it for bigger operational work where scoping the wrong thing is expensive: think automations across several systems, custom software, or infrastructure. It's a real deliverable, a written systems map and a punch list you can act on even if you never hire us for the build, and the fee credits in full against the build if you proceed. But it's never a gate you have to pass through to work with us.
What does the free chat actually involve?
Fifteen minutes, costs nothing, no pitch. You tell us the thing that's bugging you on the digital or operational side. We give you an honest read on whether we're the right fit and what the sensible next step is, which might be a small fixed-fee job, a quick bit of advice, or a recommended paid audit for something larger. If we're not the right people for it, we'll say so and point you at who is. Ring us on 07754 218 688 or book a slot from the calendar on /contact.
How long does a job take?
Depends entirely on the job. A website is a well-bounded build. A single automation script lands quickly. A multi-system bespoke app or an infrastructure piece takes longer. If we do a paid audit first, the written document lands within five working days, and builds typically run two to ten weeks depending on scope. We agree a fixed timeline before anything starts, so there are no moving goalposts.
What if the audit says 'don't build'?
That happens, and it's fine. Sometimes the right answer is 'use an off-the-shelf tool for this one, it's fifty quid a month and two hours to set up', or 'the workflow is fine, the problem is who's doing it', or 'this is an accounting question, not a software question'. The audit document says so plainly. The fee isn't refunded in those cases because the work was done, and the deliverable is the honest answer. We'd rather tell you straight than sell you a build you don't need.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, on request, before any detailed conversation begins. The standard form is a short mutual NDA. If you have a preferred template, that's fine too, within reason.
Is there a contract?
Yes. Each piece of work has its own short fixed-fee agreement: one for a build, one for the audit if we do one, one for the website plan, one for the ongoing-partner relationship. Plain English, signed by email. No retainers without something worth retaining. No build without a signed scope.
How much does it cost?
Depends on the shape of the work. The chat costs nothing. Builds, the optional audit, and the ongoing-partner relationship are all fixed-fee, agreed up front before any work starts. The one published number is the website plan: £0 up front, £50 a month. Everywhere else we keep figures off the marketing site because pricing without context invites anchoring on the wrong number. Ring us on 07754 218 688 or send a message and we'll talk through what you're trying to do; you'll have a fixed number on the table within the chat or shortly after.
